help with Schwinn le tour II age
I recently got this bike and just wanted to learn a little more about it. Here is the serial number i found. trying to find out myself using the serial code chart thing i came up with it being from 1960 but it doesn't seem right. could anyone help me out ?

Looks to be a 1977. Built on the 116th day of that year, so in April. But the "F" on the other hand, would point to July. Sometimes the dates on the badge and frame don't always agree. Here's the catalog page.

+1 I believe Le Tour II was only 1977, Le Tour III 1978 and Le Tour IV 1979 (I own 2 LeTour IVs). Because of that pattern, these particular bikes are some of the easier bikes to date...

oh. haha thanks guys. i was thinking it was a 77 from the numbers stamped on the badge but was confused by the serial number stamped in the rear.
