I've seen that numerous places, but whenever my saddle is even a hair off of level with the nose down, I feel like I'm sliding toward the bars and spend the whole ride pushing back on the seat. Is there some adjustment or such that I'm missing? Is it the shape of the saddle?
incidentally, on my older saddles, I used to take a tip from John Cobb's site and tilt my saddle ((Sell San Marco Aspide Arrowhead bas well as one of Cobb's own models) UP about 1-2 degrees and also sideways by a degree or two, and used to find it far more comfortable than a level saddle. No issues with numbness or chafing, even on long rides. Then when i got resumed cycling after a 2-3 break last year, i found I could not ride those same saddles anymore. Went from 130mm saddles to 143mm saddles and am much comfier now. And I am the same weight, same flexibility and have actually gotten a bit more aggressive on my road bike.
