they are 27”x32c cheapo bell tires on stock Matrix wheels. Racks are not blackburn. Rear is Bridgestone and front I believe is an early specialized

I'd like more info on the bell! I want to set one up that way, but I'm not sure about the ergonomics.
EDIT: And the before saddle bag! Is it a tourbon, from Taiwan?

Bell is a Temple Bell from the good folks at Velo Orange. Fairly easy to use this way, and its starting to develop a nice patina

You got it on the saddle bag! I like it a lot.

Awesome! Thanks for the information. Is the bag ok with rain? I'm considering one for a Raleigh Super Course build, since they make a green one that'll look the part and is advertised as waterproof.

I've got no idea if that saddle bag is good in the rain, I've never gotten it wet!

I'm not sure about waterproof, but the enclosure mechanism implies some water resistance. No idea about how impervious the material is though. Sorry!

1984 Trek 770

I have a couple things to do on this one. It came with original Aspin tubulars and it needs brake hoods, new Benotto tape...BUT it’s in just amazing condition and hopefully I’ll get it out on a spin soon.

Cheese and rice! It looks like somebody bought that, put it in a time capsule and wrote, “Open in 2020.”

Trash save 86' Elance. Went to a friend and it came back. Needed a lot of love and wheels. Found some old stock bar tape to finish off...

That is beautiful! I just picked up a '79 710 which was a great find but I'm partial to this vintage Trek. (owned an '87 520 for some years) I really love the socket style seat lug and bracket shell stamping. Very refined steel frame.

OK, I just posted this last weekend when I finshed it but I can't resist posting it again. 1989 Trek 420 that I got for $100, cleaned it up and put on new (or in some cases, lightly used) tires, tubes, seat, seat post, cables, housing, brake pads brake hoods, bar tape, toe cages. My first extensive bike refurbishing.

I don’t think I could possibly pass up a Trek that fit me if it was a 420. The jokes would be never ending!

I also just picked up a 420, bought of the original owner that told me he hardly ever rode it. Pics are how I picked it up, he had it hanging in a really nice garage.
