Road Bike with trailer and disc brake

I'm looking to buy a road bike that has disc brakes and can have a trailer for the kiddo. Who sells such a bike?

What you have to look for is a bike trailer that will be able to attach to a bike with disc brakes. You are looking at this from the wrong perspective. The trailer has to fit the bike, not the other way around

What's a good trailer that fits road-bikes with disc brakes?

Thule Chariot are probably the best mult-sport trailer/ carriers.

The standard hitch ‘reciever’ is for a regular quick-release, but 12mm thru-axle adapters are available.

Good news is that they have retained the same hitch cup for several model generations, so you can use a T/A adapter on an older trailer.

When my daughter was little I used a Burly bike trailer attached to my vintage road bike. I bought it used and after two years sold it for what I paid! My daughter loved that trailer and it was very well made and it had a harness type seat belt that was very secure. I still got a child’s helmet for her just to be safe. I can still hear her going”weeee” and giggling as I went down hill. Joe joesvintageroadbikes.wordpress

Actually, you would need to consider both the trailer (hitch/mount), as well as the bicycle. You need to confirm the trailer hitch (mount) is compatible with disk brakes, but also you'd want to make sure that the bicycle has a long enough chainstay such that you don't get any heel strike on the hitch/mount while pedaling.

We still use our Burley trailer (circa 1989), and I've attached it to many a bicycle over the years.

This is from 1989, carting around our daughter and other family member.

...and this is from a few years ago. In absence of grandchildren (from daughter of previous photo), we'll have to settle for transporting the family dog again.

But like the daughter, the family dog also grows too quickly!

Unless the manufacturer of a bike specifically warns to not pull a trailer (AFAIK, none do) then any bike will be fine. I have hauled many a heavy load (kids and cargo) with an ultra light (noodly steel) road bike with old single-pivot caliper brakes. I can only imagine how much nicer it would have been with a bike fitted with Shimano hydraulic discs. and a modern aluminum or carbon frame.
