Peugeot PX10 cracked chain
Hello Folks, I'm looking for some advice
I finished my PX10 restoration project and started to enjoy the bike, but after a few rides I started to have chain problems. My chain popped out twice and I decided to do a deep inspection. I found multiple links with small cracks and a few of them replaced. It's a SEDIS chain and I don't think I will be able to find a new one.
Any recommendation of a replacement chain or anyone with a good stock chain to sell?
My chain have 110 links.
Thanks a lot!

I will guess most here use new 8-speed chains for their vintage bikes from either kmc or sram. I get mine on ebay.
In rare cases, an 8-speed chain won't work with vintage cranksets. It may skate between the rings. When I've encountered this, a kmc 5-speed chain has always corrected the issue.

If your bike has the original hub it probably has a French threaded 5 speed freewheel. If you have a French threaded 5 speed freewheel you might want to get a chain made for the wider sprockets and wider spacing. A chain to fit that bill is the KMC Z6 which is available from Amazon for about $12

The chain "skating" over the sprockets, as mentioned by Mr Surfer above, is something I've only experienced with one bike and it's a Motobecane with a French threaded hub. All the other old bikes I have Shimano or IRD freewheels and they have teeth that seem to work fine with the 7/8 speed chains. I don't know of any freewheels for the French threaded hubs with teeth that are other than just plain cut. One thing nobody should want to do is put anything but a
French threaded freewheel on a metric hub.

I had gotten s couple of Sedis chain bulk packaged from a Boulder Bicycle source. I think they go in and out of stock since it looks like they have boxed only at a higher price.
