To expand on that, the fact that police departments are public isn’t all that relevant. Once an organization decides to take money for a job, they can’t just decide not to do it and keep the money because they don’t like some speech or activity of the employer.

I'm sure not one of those "peace officers" destroyed any property or looted. With all the video shot during protests and riots, MANY looters and vandals will be charged. And we'll get a few bad cops too.
