Don't know what a fair price is for this thing, but I have the Columbus tubed version in the 950 and it's such a great rider. These are really sharp looking frames too.
I'm tempted to buy it, even though I have the 950. It's probably a sickness.

Thank goodness that isn't smaller. Actually I'd REALLY be into an early Columbus Trek. Know of any?

If someone goes, could they check out the Huffy/Serotta track bike in the photo? I would be interested in that bike if my size. Don't know if the CL seller will ship though.

His contact info is in the ad. I did not pay much attention to the bikes; not my size. LOTS of stuff, and me trying to get rid of things. I went with two dollars in my pocket and came home with the same amount.

I just emailed him for info. I live in Cville and can’t make it today. What kind of sizes and prices? The huffy looks 54 ish to me. Hoping for 56. I’m also interested in that stand it’s mounted on.

Thanks

Teledyne Titan - 61 cm New Old Stock frame - $1100 (Salem)

This is a 1973 Teledyne Titan. This is the first Titanium road bike ever produced. It is a rare bike because only 2000 were produced over 40 years ago - I'm sure many have disappeared over the years. Back in the 70s this was the bike to have and was used by pro riders. The frame is new old stock - never ridden! All of the Campagnolo Record components came off another Titan frame that I have (23 in/58 cm) which is a little small for me (email me if interested in this frame). Wheels appear original - matching araya rims - great condition - both true.

The frame and all components are in excellent condition - it also comes with some spare parts - Original pedals with clips plus shimano 105 pedals - like new. Cool drilled out original seatpost, plus lighter Thompson Elite seatpost pictured. Spare 1970s drilled out shifters. New old stock brake hoods - never installed.

Bike has new Michelin tires and tubes and new cables.

I'm 6' 2" and it is a great fit. I imagine it would work for someone 6' to 6' 4". It is also a very nice example for a collector.

Email me if you have questions or would like to set up a time to view it.

Okay, I went back to the open house and took a fiver with me (a fin, a five dollar bill; not $500) and bought an alloy 3-speed handlebar (upgrading my Raleigh Sports). Just to let you all know, the place did not resemble this photograph and I arrived shortly after the noon opening. Just a few things hanging on the wall and much of the real candy had already been sold, possibly days or weeks ago. I never saw the Serotta track that has everyone drooling. He claimed it had been Andy Hampsten's bike but aside from my general skepticism I'd have thought Andy rode a taller frame. Anyway, there was still a lot of crap lying around, some of it very interesting. Got some pix of the quaint.

A few nice old velos de ville in 650B.

Mercier

Peugeot

Carlton frameset

Cycles de France. This is really quaint with Simplex chainstay-mounted rear derailleur and dual-cable shifter

24x1 (520mm) front wheel, used on many Terry bikes, some Bianchis and others.

The real gem, a Sturmey FIXED GEAR 3-speed laced to an ancient Weinmann tubular rim.

No prices were marked so you could only guess, but my bars were the best deal in the room. Good luck to anyone who calls about something.

Three Treks in Muncie IN. An 1000 $200, 1400 $200 and a nice looking 520 with Reynolds for $400 all OBO. The 520 looks to have seen very little use judging how dark the sidewalls on the rims are https://muncie.craigslist.org/bik/d/...772247780.html
