Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's My Turn to Stimulate the Economy

That’s right, I have decided to forgo an entire new build and stimulate the economy by upgrading my 2008 Tarmac from all Ultegra to all Dura Ace. My wife is actually jazzed about this decision. Man did that plan work out well!

How can she agree on you upgrading to DA? Did you tell her it's lots cheaper or something?

Don't want to rain on your parade but I have to agree with Angry. What wheels are you running? There are plenty more ways to stimulate the economy

Am I missing something? I thought wasting money was how you stimulate the economy.

Don't worry about the naysayers.
I'm sure the Shimano factory workers are stoked about this.

I don't, as it's not their money. I find it funny how some folks just can't stand when other folks are gleefully ‘wasting’ their own money.

Thanks FreddyV for helping keep our taxes from not being jacked quite so high, which IS the point of all this, I think.

Well I have Fulcrum Racing 5's now. What would you suggest? Keep in mind that I am 6'3" and about 220.

that changes my opinion a bit, fulcrum 5's are absolutely excellent wheels, i've got a few thousand trouble free miles on a set. that said, the 0's are some sexy wheels.
