^^^ I would not disagree with that, but "JA" seems excessive.
Looks like the rider spends most of his/her time on the tops, besides (unsurprisingly).

Wide risers that are currently in fashion. Bike trends crack me up.
Debated putting this in the JA thread but thought that was a bit unfair. By all appearances, this appears to be reasonably well done using what was probably limited resources.

Saw this cool "old school" bike at the plant I was working at in Mexico.
It has canti posts so probably not as old as it appears.
Ingenious (though not pretty) method of converting rod brakes to cable for the cantis.

I have a set of big ass risers to mess around with. It looks goofy, but it's surprisingly fun to ride with them. That said, I prefer my compact drops.

While it's certainly better than the stupid-narrow bars trend, having wider bars than a Citibike seems like a recipe for frustration. As MTB bars have been getting wider over the last decade did everyone forget how to use hacksaws?

Ha! I feel the same way about narrow risers!
To me wide bars (preferably similar bend to what's on my mountain bikes) make a SS road bike feel like a crazy fast mountain bike. I've pulled off some pretty aggressive moves on skinny tires thanks to having proper bars.
Flat bar road bike is basically a hybrid anyway, so choosing a bar for looks is kind of a pointless battle.

Looks like the only thing they've changed about it is the bar tape and slamming the stem.
The past few days have been weird, I've never seen this many ss/fg bikes in my city until this spring.

While far from it where I am, that warmed my heart a little. Thanks!
This is from November, I was going to buy this exact fuji track off kijiji. The guy lived 10 min walk away, I had the money, we had a time set and everything. I bailed, just couldn't bring another bike into the house on that specific evening... Would have been a bad scene.
I let the guy know, and he said someone else was coming that night... The bike sold.
A week later, riding downtown, I see a messenger. Not very common around here, and he was just stopping outside a building, quicklocking his bike to itself. I asked if he was in a rush, he wasn't.
We talked for a minute about his bike, and I asked if he bought it from kijiji a week ago on the certain Street. He had, same bike I missed out on. He said I got lucky, the front wheel was jenked bad and he needed to throw on a replacement.
Then watched bike while he made the drop, there was nothing to lock to. When he got back, he let me follow for a few drops and suggested I hang out at the plaza and get work. That was a good day.

Only fixed gear I have seen in Gran Canaria all week.
Not every day that your bike matches the parking structure.

That looks like a rough hood. You better watch out, next time you're going to be mobbed by toddlers that are all hopped up on apple juice with a plastic axe to grind.

Mexico City (Reforma)
Cargo bikes with cart steering. Note the motorcycle tires on the front.
The obligatory "Fixie" shot
Food delivery bikes.
I am pleased to see lots of singlespeeds in this area, seems elsewhere the bike of choice is a geared MTB in spite of the flat terrain.
