Best Hybrid ??
I have a Fuji Crosstown and love it but the components seem cheesy, 900 miles and the bottombraket chewed up...Lookig at getting another hybrid to use for "good weather" riding and keep the Fuji for rainy days.
I like the style and dont care for the forward bar style Hybrid and dont want a road bike. I average 16mph and ride about 20 miles a day almost everyday. Someone said Trek 7000 these are about 300.00 so how good can they be ??

The Cannondale Adventure 2 might suit you.

Trek 7300 is a nicer bike than the 7000.

There seem to a lot of reviews out there on the Trex 7000, on one site out of 53 reviews, and I did not read them all,
LOL...it received 4.4 rating out of 5. And about the worst one said it,s okay but you might want to spend a
little more and go for the 7200...I really like the 7300 also, just depends on what you want to spend and what
( you ) like.....Richard

I just bought the Cannondale Adventure 2 and like it allot. I have over 200 miles on it in the past 3 weeks. This is my first experience with hybrid bikes.

I have a two year old Cannondale Quick 5 and it's perfect for what I do. The components are midlevel so I could upgrade if I wanted to but the darn thing is great as is.

I have a 7.3FX and it's been reliable for the most part. Little things have went wrong, but I did special order it here in Korea and I am pretty sure the guy that assembled it was blind. I have a 7.5FX back in the states and it's amazing.

I would not say they are the best Hybirds but, I have a Trek 7500 and my wife has a Trek 7300 and both bike are awesome. I went with the 7500 because of the better components on the 2009 model I have but, Trek has since put the a step lower components on the 7500 to keep price the same. Mine has the Deore components and now they have the same ones as the 7300 on them still good components for the price IMO. I guess in the end it is all out to what you are looking for and when you like about your bike.
Personally I'm looking at going to a cyclocross for my ride next year. I have looked at the Redline and the Trex XO series and even the Colnago WC. They are all nice bike its just a really hard choice to make as I ride mostly all lime stone rail to trails. I will still ride my Hybird but some of the places on the trails is be better suited for the Cyclocross IMHO.

My schwinn tourist is a good hybrid but the only thing is that it has 25c tires so when i hit the rocks its a little bumpy cause i do not have shocks but other than that its a pretty good bike.but since it lends over to a more rode bike i do that more of that anyway.

I have no complaints about my 2009 Giant Cypress DX. The 2009 Jamis Citizen 3.0 ($685 list) is only $470 delivered from Bicycle Bananas.
