Hoodoo 500 - Relay Teams
The Hoodoo 500 is THE PREMIER ultra-cycling solo and relay race in the U.S! With quiet roads and unsurpassed scenery, this super challenging race is the most fun you can have on 2 wheels in 48 hours!
New for 2012, we're changing the rules to allow 2-Person teams to self crew. (4-Person teams have always been allowed to do so.)
Mindful that these are tough economic times and traveling with crew adds a lot to the cost of participating in ultra-racing, we're making an effort to make it easier, more affordable.
To keep it safe, self-crewing teams will be held to the standard of Voyager racers regarding bicycle lighting and wearing reflective material; and the single-driver may not follow the rider at any time. (If you want a follow-vehicle, you must have at least 2 non-racing people responsible for driving.)
Online rules will be updated shortly to reflect the changes.
For those who haven't checked the Hoodoo site recently, we've also changed the entry fees to add an "A La Carte" entry for teams for those on a budget who aren't interested in the finisher jersey and/or who can't stay for the post-race breakfast. Individual team members can add these things later if desired.
Details about the race are here: https://www.hoodoo500.com
RACE DATE - August 24-26, 2012
