Muscle soreness in very front of quadiceps

Muscle soreness in very front of quadriceps
After hard efforts or long hard rides, any muscle soreness that I feel is always in the very front quadriceps, I never feel anything in the hamstrings or calves, would this be caused by peddling technique or bad saddle adjustment?
