Hot Spots in New Bibs

I just picked up a pair of Voler Jet bibs. Overall they were comfortable, went on a 20 mile ride yesterday and had some hot spots in the perineal/sack area to the point where I had to get off the bike during the ride. Would this have to do with the bibs or seat position? I've had some issues before when I wore cotton underwear/shorts but it was somewhat bearable.
