Cannondale Red Shred

The wife is getting none too happy. This will be my 3rd project bike acquisition in about 4 weeks. I did sell one to get one though. Six bikes aren't too many, Is it?

I was looking for a parts bike on my wife's FB marketplace page, rims and tires for my Fisher Montare, and came across this fuzzy non-drivetrain side pic. I offered less but they were firm on the price.

I decided to save the pic and zoom in to try and see if was worth the asking price.
What do I make out? Red Shred and, vaguely, Cannondale. I sent a message saying I will pick it up after work Sunday.

Thoughts on the bike?

It looks to have Grip Shifters but I can't make out anything else. The headtube would suggest a larger frame. A plus for me at 6 ft.
More pics to come and a parts list inventory.

THis link may or may not be helpful. The crank looks like a Deore from the ear but kinda worn. Wether the Deore deraillers are there and any good who knows. Looks like it may have had a hard life.

Another thing to note is that the rear brake mounts are for U-Brakes, with the studs 'above' the rim. This limits your rear brake choices, V-brakes not compatible.

You have one wife to many, not too many bikes.

Had a deal with the seller and a time to pick it up. They sold it to someone else without letting me know.

I hate liars and people who don't keep their word. I guess that's today's world.
