1985 Cannondale ST 400 shifter mount question

Howdy all.

I picked this up with the intention of building my son a bike with bar ends and am wondering if there is a know adapter for these shifter mounts?

Is there a flat Shimano cable stop of some sort?

Seems like a cable stop could be filed down to fit.

The Shimano SM-CS50 cable stops are available in flat mount. I've got a pair on my Cannondale.

Cool bike. Good that it seems to have metal top tube guides. The later ones had problematic plastic. I had one that I easily converted to 700c with longer reach brakes. One that got away....
