Best Practice for Top Tube Cable Guides ?
I have a pretty mint bike I am getting ready for the road. Seems like those full housing top tube cable guides are absolute rust magnets, which makes sense as moisture and grit accumulates in the crevices of those.
Anyway, My frame is perfect now and I am about to re-cable it. Any special tips or tricks to keep rust at bay, other than to keep it clean and dry? Grease? Wax? Something else?

I wax them heavily and then wipe down the top tube after every (EVERY!) ride.

Rust on that area is also caused and accelerated by sweat falling from your head and torso while riding.
A good spray and wipedown with something like WD40, after every ride, will help keep rust away.
