Masi Gran Corsa, 1984?
This bike has been for sale in OKC for a while and I'm going to be over ther this week, so I'm tempted to take a look at it. Curious what the BF folks think of it:

The pictures provided don't reveal a lot, but there does appear to be some rust here and there and some big paint chips in the frame. The bike was obviousy completely rebuilt at some point - is that Dura-Ace 7800?
As I understand it, the Gran Corsa was an Italian frame with unknown builders that was painted and finished in the USA? Seems like an interesting project, or maybe the source of two separate projects with the D-A going to something else.
If one of y'all runs out and buys it before me, I'll probably thank you later!

Maybe worth it if the shifters and pedals are Dura Ace as well, the frame looks as though it may fall apart at any moment (what is that clump underneath the top tube?)
Brakes look like the 7403 series. Fork looks good.

Rode hard and put away wet. The seller claims “Vintage 80s-90s Masi gran Corsa in great condition for being from 1984.” I know this is subjective but nowhere would this bike be considered as great condition. The BIN price at $275 USD I think leaves enough meat on the bone to justify a restoration, provided that barnacle does not require a tube replacement. A sell off of the components would help with costs as well, even sold on the cheap side. If it were my size and I needed another project, I’d probably jump on it provided I could get some intel on that top tube. Just one person’s opinion.

I rarely say no to rust bucket rehab types. I would pass on that one.

Watch the video in the FB post, it's in better condition than the pictures show. I think what looks like rust spots is red primer. The thing on the top tube might be a wad of tape? I would definitely take a look at it if I were in the area.

definitely looks like scrunched up tape. I like the Gran Corsa more than the nuova Strada. The brown blotches at the seat lug suggest take an Allen key and check the seat post for movement.
