1991 Davidson Impulse, 60cm

Admitting that, like my 18 pound cat, I am a "king of comfort" and prefer my wide-tired bikes, I'm letting this one back into the wild after several years of ownership. Loved the way it rode, but its just not seeing as many miles as I'm putting on my Gugificazioned 650B bikes...

UPDATE: Complete bike no longer available. Will begin parting out in the next week or so.
  • Frame is a Davidson Impulse, made in 1991. Measures 60cm on the ST, either 57 or 58 on the TT, can't remember. No dents or dings. Some small paint chips (probably), though nothing noticeable to my eye.
  • Sachs-Huret New Success 8 speed groupset (Indexed DT shifters, brakes, crankset (53/39), FD, RD, and brake levers)
  • Nitto 90cm stem (26.0 clamp)
  • Saddle is an extremely lightweight Selle San Marco Titanio 300 with an American Classic seatpost
  • Brooks faux-leather handlebar tape (IMHO more comfortable than real leather)
  • 46cm Velo Orange Course handlebar
  • Pedals are Shimano M520s

Wheelset was bought new < 3 years ago, Shimano 105 hubs and H+SON TB14 rims. Currently sporting a 11-30 8 speed Shimano cassette. Wearing Grand Prix 4000 SII 25mm tires (measure at 27mm mounted. widest you can go with the fork clearances).

Sweet bike! I consider my Impulse to easily be one of the top 3 bikes I have. It just rides so nice.

I think Bill Davidson would be very upset to know he died. AFAIK he's still building bikes at his shop 3 miles from where I sit.

Sweet Davidson. If it weren't too tall for me, I'd be searching couch cushions for $800 in change. Good luck with sale.

Frame is sold, pending payment. Will begin parting out next week and will open a new FS thread at that time.
