I say if you love the frame and ride, buy yourself a new groupset and upgrade! A full set of SRAM Red is what, $1,500? Way cheaper than a $5k new bike!

New bike. Subtle improvements to frame geometry and materials. 100% new components. Sense of satisfaction is a big positive. Back up bike is nice to have.

I have a 2010 Roubaix Expert. It's factory original, down to the original grip tape which still looks new. I am running a set of rim brake Mavic Cosmic Carbone wheels and hubs I got brand new (never mounted) off Craiglist for $800 ($2300 retail IIRC).
The wheels made a noticeable difference. I have a new Fizik saddle as well.
I intend to keep it as a beater/rain bike when I do purchase a new bike. If I was in your shoes, I'd make some small upgrades, fix or replace the mech or cassette, and keep it. It's not worth much, and IMO that generation of Roubaix is still very pretty.
Here's mine, with vintage carbon S-Works bottle cages from 2010 as well -

That is still a nice looking bike. But yea, I can see that it is dated in that it still takes standard parts! Rim brakes, QR wheels, standard seat post and headset, shifters with cables. All stuff that is easy to work with. No need for electronic shifting, hydraulic brakes, wheels that require a tool to remove.
