Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Since datlas is doling out advice () - my elbow hurts - rest or rehab? Or maybe it's more accurate to say that it's my forearm at the elbow... damn, now I'm just not sure.

Google lateral epicondylitis, aka, tennis elbow. There's an easy fix for that.

The only thing wrong with Little Wing is that it's too short. For that reason I also love SRV's version.
The guitar in The Wind Cries Mary is sublime. Beautiful and unlike anything of the time.

What, the one with the faux-Mackinaw jersey and the $200 hoodie?

That's the thread, and I love that hoodie - just have to wait for a 40% off promo code. Not much else in their gravel collection appeals (I do like the look of the shorts, but at close to $200 and they have to go over bibs? Pass.), but I do really like some of their other stuff as I've poked around the site.

Proud to say i saw Hendrix in Berkeley. Also, about tandems, smaller person in back so they can draft. And about having the heavier person in front. I wonder. Does your bike handle better when your weight is over the front wheel, or the back?

Band of Gypsys is the only Hendrix album I listen to anymore. There is some noise and distortion, however.

It does seem as if, in eschewing the 'roadie uniform', that gravel riders have created their own uniform, to the point where it can be marketed back to gravel riders unironically.

And now, they keep popping up in my FB ads. At least they seem to have replaced the CNC Mills that I got for a month after looking up the price of CNC Mills for a throwaway joke post!

Neither one of them is my favorite Hendrix, although I feel he demonstrates a bit more of his talent in Little Wing. For a raw display of talent, however, I vote the Start Spangled Banner or Wild Thing.

I don't know that there was any eschewing going on, I think people were just being practical, but what do I know - some people are silly. Anyway, I think that the vast majority of people that would buy stuff like this are also comfortable in spandex and on pavement.

...and now that I look at it, the white & black check "jersey" is starting to grow on me. Goodness, gracious.

Also, the wine-colored lettering on my Cervelo is making me consider all kinds of stuff that I wouldn't have given a second glance, prior. edit: what you do think? Maybe some moody pics on my Instgram in the future?

Yeah, like Theisman's leg, you can't erase that you saw that.
