Addiction LXXX

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Someone said "locked," but thinking about the event, it's more likely his brakes just failed to grab: carbon wheels in the wet. Again, discs win.

I'll post a photo at some point, but I don't feel like exploiting the poor guy's misfortune any more than I have already.

In much more positive news, daughter is going to move back to the USA for the first time in 7 years. She's going to be at UC Davis, but that's still a lot better than Europe from our point of view.

Speaking of pianos, this was WUOTs mystery melody this week.

Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer. Nice frame too. His first words: "Well, that's going to be expensive."

Yeah I meant the coronavirus police. One of my friends just flew from here to Holland which is having a spike of its own, I told him he may not be able to come back for awhile.

There might indeed be problems, but she's got to wind up her doctorate first and right now she's off for a delightful North Atlantic cruise in this:

On the bright side, it's an opportunity for a new frame.
