Humorous 'Old Knees' Observation
I was playing golf with a also over age 70 golfer the other day and we were sharing aging joints issues. Mine are wrists and knees where his are shoulders and lower back. I was saying that with hyaluronic acid injections 2x per year, a really expensive and kind of heavy knee brace, and (typically) daily Meloxicam, I can still do mostly what I want although tennis and stacking 3+ hour ride multiple days in a row are no longer wise. So new knees is probably in my foreseeable future.
His comment was 'sounds like your legs are on their last knees'.
I found that one funny.

That's punny! Not a youngster myself, knees in good shape for now--keeping my fingers crossed!

A few years ago I was talking to my last survivor of four Uncles. He said I look just the same as I always had. I said Thanks, luckily my knees are still good. He responded with How are your nephews? I said KNEES.
He was just messing with me....as usual.

That sounds a lot like the conversations our 65+ group have when we play! Glad your knees haven’t stopped you yet!
With all the recent rain Our courses are really soaked right now. I walked Monday but the course was really not playable. But I just needed to get out for some me time.....
I have really good rain gear and it did it’s job.
The only way to hit out of the fairway was to tee it up.
It’s hard to see but not only was the ball in the divot it was half submerged in water....in the fairway????

As a rules official I would tell you what Payne Stewart was told in a players meeting. "Learn how to play out of those divots!" However I would exempt you for pointing out it is in casual water. Under the new rules you would get an 8 foot half circle behind the point that the ball came to rest in for relief but you most drop the ball from knee height. It looks like your White Oaks have finally let go of the leaves. Are you carrying a battery powered blower in the bag? No penalty there in being a smart player. Smiles, MH
