Long Reach Brake question
How much does the braking action/feel change when using long reach brakes? I am looking at the idea of changing from 27" to 700c wheels.
Thanks!
Thanks!

The difference between 27 and 700 is small. It's possible your current brakes may already be adjustable to reach 700. Either way I haven't really noticed much difference in feel on conversions I've done. You'll get bigger "feel" differences with different brake pad materials or different rim surfaces.

I've used both short and long reach caliper brakes and find the difference in braking effort to be unnoticable. As dbg mentioned. pad material has a much greater effect on brake effort and efficiency than reach.
