Bianchigirll is my hero

A thread was started a little while back about showing off our posters & cycling advertisements in our homes and workshops, and Bianchigirll posted her Clement poster, which in my unhumble opinion has to be one of the best advertisements ever. I saw one way back in 1995 in the collection of the owner of the shop I rode for, and a few times in magazines, but nothing since. The photo itself is a masterwork in layout, contrast, and mood. I searched online for days, using every combination of descriptives I could think about - and came up with nothing. There simply are no replicas or reprints available apparently, so I asked her where she bought hers. A week or so later, a message pops up from Bianchigirll with an ebay listing - an original, full size poster! So needless to say, cost no object, it now hangs on my office wall. Nice to have other forum members looking out for you!

All that pic (of the room) needs is a black or creme colored classic bike, nearby to complement the art.

Madame Bianchi has been around the Forum long enough to have helped more than a few of us.

I've always loved that poster too. Aside from the obvious struggle for the last good tubular I think it also speaks to her struggle of being caught between two worlds or maybe even two lovers?

I agree, the matting really works.

That really is an awesome addition to that space, it's so great that worked out.

Inquiring minds want to know more about BianchiGirl. Is there a BianchiGuy? Does she fix his bikes for him? Does she let him ride hers? Is there a picture so we can see a lovely lady on a lovely bike or should we just use our imagination?

It's my understanding that she is a goddess.

One of my many takes on it is; Aside from the obvious struggle for the last good tubular I think it also speaks to her struggle of being caught between two worlds the nitty gritty of bicycles and all that goes with building and repairing them and the refined world of the arts and culture or maybe even two lovers? Whatever it is a killer poster.

Definitely no S/O in my life at the moment, but if I find one who likes to ride I'll be happy to fix their bikes, provided they aren't Huffies and Roadmasters. As to a pic..... definitely when I get my apartment I'll try and get some pics of me and my bikes and post them up.

as well as my version of this poster. the small pic to the right is the '89 Eqinox I used to have posing in front a display E-2 Hawkeye in Southern N.J.

Yes. That would explain the Celeste aura seen in the northern Indiana skies around here for some time now.

I’ve sometimes dreamt of meeting you, marrying you, and being allowed to ride any and all of your bikes, whenever I wanted to. 🤔🙄😉

But now, it turns out you want to work on MY bikes? And I only have one at this time. I’m already starting to feel inadequate. 😭😉

I figured they were just working together to stretch a tubular before mounting and the suit guy is a dentist that buys expensive bike stuff he doesn't know how to work on.

That poster was on the (bathroom) wall of the bike shop I worked in back in the summer of 1994. The one I remember had the tag line "A non ci resist"
