I'm sure that I've mentioned it before but, growing up, my family treated soda like water. I very, very rarely drink it now, and the only stuff that we have in the house is a pack of Pepsi mini cans for when my dad visits because... duh, he doesn't drink water. Now, if you think that's absurd, consider that the pack of mini cans in the fridge is a couple years old, not because my dad hasn't visited, but because he's taken to traveling with his own supply of water Pepsi in the car.

Interesting note from my ride yesterday:
I rode this exact same route on Monday on my 33lb Trek 710. It took 40 minutes 12 seconds according to Strava.
So that's a big, heavy bike with wide tires that doesn't really inspire super spirited riding. Definitely a bike you sit and spin on rather than get out of the saddle and hammer.
Yesterday I took my Super Le Tour 12.2, it's got light-ish wheels with 28mm tires, pretty quick geometry, and really loves it when you get out of the saddle. So, naturally, I thought that I could smash that 40:12 time from earlier in the week.
I was actually slower by about a minute
So maybe its just me that's slow, not the bike.
I'm blaming stopping to take that picture.

Be careful what you wish for.
I drove from Philadelphia to Syracuse in the storm. Thunderstorms, wind, and rain to start. It switched to ice, wind, and snow around Wilkes Barre. There was about a foot of snow on the ground at the rjones28 arrival gate.

so underneath my bottom bracket it says my frame is 54 cm. However when I measure from the crank bolt to the top where the seat post slides into the frame I get 22.5 inches, 57 cm. I feel like I’m doing something wrong.
And this was more because I was bored than anything.

I thought it was always seat tube? I’m thinking about experimenting with a new stem mentioned in another thread. If I increase my reach I think I can move my seat forward. It will still be above the bars but it won’t look as bad and might be more comfortable.

Be careful with this. Correct saddle position depends mainly on knee position relative to cranks/BB. You can try this but it may affect your pedaling ergonomics.
