Will do. I should have a much easier time getting out. I'm going to plan on doing my W'burg-RVA-W'burg ride this time around, too.

So this morning I heard a certain government official involved with the fight against the corona virus say that if you are young and healthy your chances of contracting the virus are low.
What doth our resident medical experts think about that?

All kidding aside, congrats on getting back in the airplane. I know it's still work, but at least you've got a better view out of the office window than most of us

Substitute “dying from” for “contracting” and to can take it to the bank.

Our water finally got turned back on yesterday.
Wife and I have been staying at my parents' house the previous two nights while we waited on the city to fix it, and I've been going to sleep late, sleeping terribly, and have been a terribly irritable human being.
We finally got to sleep at our home last night, and I haven't slept that well in a long, long time
I'm in a much better mood this morning.

Regional airline pilots are treated very different than mainline when it comes to our schedules.

I'd look elsewhere for health information. LOL
I don't know exactly how it works, but there's a back door way to get it through particular pharmacies. The bottles I've gotten cost no more than $10.
On day the Rx got sent to my regular local pharmacy. They called me and told me it was going to cost some ridiculous amount. I'm like, yeah no.
Then there are total ripoff meds like Vimovo that are a pure scam to rip us off. @Velo Vol. It's a combo of Nexium-Naproxen. You can get a month's supply of the two separate medicines for under $25 for generics, or you can get the branded Vimovo for retail price of $2600/month. Sad!

But I know that I want something better than the Hills Bro's that my folks drink.
Or the Folgers that's available at work.

I was planning on being a pilot professionally until I burned out working on my instrument rating. I know that I didn't have the mental fortitude to make it a career.
Part of me wonders how things would have been different if I had a different airplane to learn in, though. At the time I was doing all of my IR training in a C140 with only 2 VORs and a glideslope. A small, slow, light airplane with super light control pressures and very limited instrumentation is definitely not the best platform. It's kind of like how I feel about vintage bikes, it's a romantic idea to learn to do things the "old fashioned way", but sometimes it just makes it harder than it has to be.

Apparently the similarities are:
1. High rate of infection (similar to 1918 flu) even though many infections may be mild or inapparent (so for the individual not a huge problem but for the population, a big problem, because all those subclinically infected people spread the disease)
2. High fatality rate, similar to 1918 flu
I have friends who are Fox News types. They convinced the concern is unfounded media-driven liberal hysteria. Jeez.

I was reading a little about it and apparently the CDC is worried this be could be like the 1918 influenza pandemic.

IR training was difficult. When I started I still had to do NDB approaches and I had a hard time wrapping my head around that one. It’s come along way since then. Most of my commercial training was done in a full glass cockpit 172, when I started flying the dash most of the those were old steam gauges.
