Riding this week.

Anybody up for a ride or two this week? I'm thinking early in the day on (possibly Wednesday), Thurs, Fri, or Saturday. If it's at all dry, I'd like to do a shortish 25-35 mile road ride out of the St. Charles area. If it's damp/cold but not extremely wet, I'd opt for either a loop around the FRT/Prairie Pat or out and back on the Great Western Trail.

Am I the only fool thinking this is a good idea?

But, we've got snow, so that's what I'll ride in. Nobody else wants to give it a shot?

Thur and Fri look dry. I'll be riding but going to St. Charles seems a long way for a ride. It's not out of the picture though. What time are you thinking?

I'll be doing the Joliet Junction / Rock Run Greenway loop Thursday & Friday.
Hopefully the I&M canal trail from Rock Run to the Aux Sable Aqueduct and back on Saturday or Sunday.

Guess I'm a fool also.

RJBTrek, I can split the distance and maybe meet you in the Barrington area? Then Colorchange would have NO excuse to not make it. How 'bout it?

MJH2, thanks for the offer. Yesterday the Village CycleSport team sent a "call to ride" for the VCS guys to ride in Elk Grove Villageg on Thur and I'm going to take them up on that.

Also, send me a private message with your address and I can ship you a disk with the photo's I took on Sunday. I posted a handful on the "first cross" thread but I have more.

Looks like it's just you and me. The earlier the better for me, if you're still interested.

I'm up for meeting you early and hitting the Penny Road Pub Loop. You game?

Let's do it. What time, how's 8 sound? We can start at my house if you want as I think you know it.

PS, if you want to run me off the road with your cyclocross racing form ... while mine has been rapidly slipping ... now's your chance. Bury my fat slow arse!

Psi ... you're going to pass up the chance to put the hurt on me and drop this sad, sorry, slow sloth?

My cyclocross form lasts for about 17 minutes, so there's no worry there.

8:00am sounds good. I'm thinking something in the area of a 2 hour ride? PM me your address as I have a bad memory (but a good GPS).

Just finished my ride. We had 16 guys and did about 30 miles (I did 26 since they passed close to my house at the end of the ride and bailed). It was cold at first then we warmed up. It was a good way to start Thanksgiving. I just have to remember not to tighten the shoes too tight. One foot was cold even though I had the neopryne boots.
