I found a set of silver Aeroheads laced to IRO hubs on CL for 70 bucks, but I was the second person to respond. If I had gotten them I'd have been all over the bowery frame.

I figured someone might want to have a look since I doubt I'd pick it up now.

don't be scared brah. fear is the mind killer. being a BAMF fixster is a dynamic, two-way relationship: legs vs. drivetrain. you vs. road. as soon as you give in and show signs of fear, the street will throw your ass to the ground. stay zen.

Where are the good deals on lycra shorts? I've only come up with eBay and Nashbar thus far. Looking for Sugoi or Castelli since those seem pretty reputable, but I am open to other suggestions. I was advised to steer clear of Canari.

I'd suggest taking a look at https://www.voler.com/ They have decent stuff & the sales are usually quite good especially if you can handle some garish colors to wear under street clothes. I've got a few shorts & a couple of knickers & they seem to be among the medium to higher quality spectrum of stuff, in other words much better than Nashbar or Performance brand. Good bang for the buck I think if you select from sale stuff!
