Aiming for the usual 300 miles this month ... interestingly, my wife wants to do 200 miles, based on one of the national cycling challenges, I don't remember which one.

We'll see how that goes ...

Starting a tour on Sunday after an 11.5 hr. train ride tomorrow. Two weeks from Saint Albans, VT home to Philly. Along the way I am going to spend two days at my 35th high school reunion in Western Mass. Also going to hang with an old colleague in Burlington, VT for a couple of days. I have rented a restored caboose to sleep in one night. Aside from that and a motel room in Hyde Park (the nearby state park is sort of sucky), I will be camping. Rough calculation is 575 miles, not including side mileage for things like groceries. Only two days over 60 miles, which is nice. But one of those days has over 3,500' of climbing and some dirt roads, and it looks like it could be wet. If it has been raining, I will likely skip the dirt and stay on the highway.

Total 9.9 miles this morning. Another 8.2 this evening. Goal = 300 miles. However with evening temperatures being already around the triple digits I am not sure yet if I can keep this goal or if I might switch to swimming on some days.

Friday 6/1: 37 miles
I had intended more today, but I'm fearful of riding in triple digits temps and today was a scorcher.

Heavy work travel schedule, so 300 miles / 20,000'. Won't be hitting the WNCC much that adds 4k in 25 miles a week!!

MTD: 51 miles / 3,064'

After a disastrous May, I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things by aiming for 250 miles.

June 03 = 15.54 miles

MTD = 15.54 miles of (at least) 250 miles.

It's been so windy here that I procrastinated on riding the last few days and completed other tasks around the house. 25 miles so far is it. Would like 500 or more this month.

Crap! I thought I was off to a decent start to June, then on the 4th I get sick. Went to urgent care and the doctor thinks I have Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, taking antibiotics. Fever, body aches, no energy, headaches... feeling a little better after a couple days of antibiotics, but CRAP! I thought I was on the way back. Just have to double down when I feel better!

Goal: 200 miles

6/1 - 7.2 miles
6/2 - 14.5 miles
6/3 - 14.1 miles
6/4 thru 6/6 - zero

June total: 35.8 miles

Total since June 28, 2017: 1606 miles
(corrected date)

Goal for year (by June 27) - 1750 miles
