I don't think any year of the Mt Whitney was in red. Pretty sure the red decal was Mt Hood as the black decals are Mt Whitney. Mombat has some catalogs. I'm sure someone here knows, they are pretty popular. MOMBAT: Ross Bicycles History

The 1983 version of the Mt. Whitney was chrome and used red decals. It started out the year just being called the Ross Hi-Tech Mountain Bike but was renamed Mt. Whitney in the very late summer/early autumn, around the time the 1984 production would have gotten underway. This very version of the Mt. Whitney appears in advertisements with chrome finish and red decals.

How about a mountain bike that says "Apollo by Ross", "ATB12", and "STONE MT"??

The Force Ten was a chrome plated frame. A 15 speed gold anodized rims. Seems Ross used every famous mountain name in America.
