Road bike owners: do you commute? What's your commuter?
I'm curious to know what road bike owners use to commute. Your road bike? Another bike? What kind?

I have multiple cyclocross bikes for commuting, gravel, winter and rainy weather.

Road Bikes: S-Works Roubaix SL2, Specialized Secteur Sport
Commuter: Planet X Kaffenback, Alfine 8-speed rear hub, Alfine dynamo front hub, reflective Velocity Dyad rims, Topeak rack, Shimano CX disc brakes (so much better feel and sound than Avid BB5/7 it's not even funny), and SuperNova dynamo lights.

My feet. I commute to the basement.
When I had an office to commute to I started with a huffy mountain bike. Moved to a hybrid and from there to a touring bike. Once that was destroyed I replaced it with a fixed gear that was also destroyed and then replaced with another fixed gear. That bike is being replaced with a cx bike as I have grown to despise the whole one gear can't stop pedaling BS. Though I suppose I could throw a free wheel on it instead.

I commute on my road bike -- a Bikes Direct aluminum-framed road bike w/ SRAM Force, and a rear clip-on fender. I do mostly fair-weather commuting, as my commute is atypically long, and I don't like to suffer.

We have secure bike boxes so I do not hesitate to ride my race bike, particularly if I have a scheduled interval session or if there is an evening group ride.

I commute 3-5 days a week dependent on the weather. 18 miles roundtrip. Normally commute on my Quick 4 but have started commuting on my CAAD10 more often now that I'm more comfortable on it(1st road bike). Found a slice on the sidewall of my GP4000S tire this morning upon arrival. Promptly ordered some folding Gatorhardshells and it looks like I'll start commuting on it even more now. This is my 2nd sidewall cut in a couple months. I recently put regular Gatorskins on the Quick after a sidewall slice. I just went with the Hardshells this time to try them out since the sidewall protection is supposed to be better. I just park whatever I ride in an unused cubicle.

Road Bike: Specialize Roubaix Comp
Hybrid: Scott Sportster 55
The Roubaix is new so it's getting most of the time right now, but the Scott is my standard commuter.
