Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's OK, though--my brain is firing on all cylinders and I didn't need a reminder.

This afternoon I suspected I saw someone, and Strava confirms:

La Chica FlyBy!

For some reason she wasn't riding on the road though.

I don't think I'm a fan of handlebars that can be disassembled, though.

She only went 7 miles? Was it a run?

Also did Ian go with her? Sounds like you've got some competition to take care of.

She had two activities this afternoon. This shorter ride, then she reset for a longer one.

Why? You just unzip the three rear plastic windows. Locking the doors does not do a thing. That’s why I get hard tops -need to be able to lock things in from time to time.

I have a question about stretching, and who better to ask?

Is there a good exercise to restore range of motion in your right hip?

One never leaves anything one wants to keep in an unlocked Jeep or one with a soft top.

A person trained in physical therapy would be my advice. If you need advice about awesome products, I'm your man.

I do not, unless anti-inflammatory drugs count.

My wife got a text from Netflix today saying that because of the hardship we faced through the freeze last week we were getting a free year of service. All she had to do was click the link.

Start small. It turns out if you remove the 4lb box from the front of your bike you ride faster with the same effort.

Around 2mph faster tonight on my 710 over a very similar route to a ride just a couple of weeks ago. Same bike, just with a new saddle and minus the big lunchbox on the front. It was about 15° warmer today so that may account for a bit of it, but I was shocked at how quick and smooth this bike is.
