Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The house hunting continues. I'm definitely looking for 1200 sqrft. Minimum. 1000 was to small. Nice house just no room.

I stopped wearing my original ring altogether for the same reason and finally seized it as an excuse to get a silicone ring last year. There's something to be said about the heft and/or solidity of a ring (mine is Ti, so not heavy), but I really appreciate the flexibility and comfort that the silicone ring affords.

I wouldn't set filters to rule out something in the neighborhood of 1k sq ft - layout efficiency is huge, as anyone that's lived in NYC could tell you. We looked at a number of 1500-1700 sq ft houses that had far less usable space than the ~1200 sq ft house that we ended up with.

If you guessed because the Michelin pro4 endurance tyres I was testing out failed miserably. You would be correct!

6 miles... that's all it took for the first puncture. It was a piece of quartz stuck in the Tyre. I busted off my thumb nail removing it too. Booted it with a dollar. Made it 2 more miles when I got the second flat in another spot. THATS IT! IM DONE. Said good by to the group, borrowed a tube for emergency use and headed back.
What a shame. I really liked them. Nice ride, very supple, low rolling resistance. Good grip. Ah well.
One of my gp4000sll lasted 80 miles, and suffered a sidewall blowout. It gave a very nice ride while it lasted.

You could wrap the original in angora yarn and wear it on a chain around your neck.

Can't get one done for less than about $5k. If you could, you would want to stay very far away from it.

My original no longer fits. Replaced it with one just like it, but white gold instead of yellow.

Other than on the boat or working with things where it could get caught and deglove my finger, it never comes off.

That blows. Those P4E seem to have such a good reputation with those that have used them.

Even without the ring, "married" is obvious.

My wedding ring was purchased almost exactly 51 years ago. I did have it enlarged (gold added) back around 2000 when I was at my highest ever weight. The funny thing is. I paid $70 for the gold ring in 1970 and paid $75 to have it enlarged ~2000.

My ring is actually not the one that I was married in. It was supposed to be, but late after our rehearsal dinner, my betrothed called me in a panic saying that she couldn't find my ring!

It was still MIA by the next morning so my father and I had to go to Walmart and pick out a suitable substitute. Thankfully my ring is just plain Ti so a plain SS ring would have worked.

The next day when we got home, my wife found it in her purse - there was a hole in the lining of her purse big enough for the ring box to slip through

The last house I was in was under 900sf. Was there for 16 years. No garage, no back yard, (severe up-slope) and only room for 1 car on the property, although I parked my second car next door. It was fine, really, and I wish we could have stayed there. Had to keep all the bikes in the second bedroom, along with Mrs. John's junk.

It had a big kitchen with room for the washer and dryer, which was a plus.
