But then this is even more of a silly discussion, next year he is yet another year older, 36. Even more unlikely he will be in shape to win.

If the discussion had been whether Froome is going to leave or not, now that might bring some interesting views. I really don't see him changing teams. He was there at the start and I'd think he'd rather spend his last years with them. With all the good new guys coming up, it'll be hard for another team sponsor to want to pay to get him to change.

Well I can agree with that. My only contention here is that some see it as a mystery why he has not been signed yet. I don't think it a mystery at all. This goes on every year for many of the big names that have their multi-year contract coming due. There just isn't any reason for them to sign early if they think they can get a better offer from the current or another team.
