700x23 tires
Hey gang,
Which 700x23 tires do you recommend (at least ones you can still find)? Please don't ask me why I want 23s! Just looking for high quality, folding, clincher options (preferably with gumwall or brown sidewalls). Veloflex? Grand Bois Col de la Madeleine? Not sure if any U.S.-based shops even have these... Thanks in advance.

I'm dumb. I overlooked that you wanted tan/brown sidewalls.
Let us know how those work for you.

Just mounted some Soma Supple Vitesse tires on 23mm. Haven't ridden them yet but look forward to giving them a try soon. Been riding 25mm tires over the past several years, was surprised at how light these 23s felt and how much less volume they had in comparison.

Just received and mounted the tires. They look very well made and feel very light. They were pretty hard to mount (I even punctured one of the tubes using a lever trying to get one of the tires on). However, I didn't leave them out in the sun and try to stretch them before mounting, as I normally do. The gumwalls definitely look nice with my vintage frame (I usually like gumwalls that are darker like these). They feel supple when you squeeze the tires, but I haven't ridden them yet. I'll post riding impressions once I get them out on the road. For the money, they seem like a great buy...
