I prefer raspberries. Sweet cherries are nice, too, especially in pie.

Yea I like mine a lot but with one caveat - Is it really necessary to be in touch with anything/one 24/7? Medical emergencies excepted of course.

I watched Four Christmases on my new mini-laptop over a cup of coffee at Starbucks the other night. Free wifi.

Went to London last night- (Big Mistake) Wanted to go from Covent Garden to Leicester Square and the wifes new phone has Google maps on it.. Fantastic--It proved to me that I was starting in the wrong place for where I wanted to get to.

Quite relative really. I function happily enough with my simple cell phone-- no camera, games, music, maps...just basic phone. My son would be, like, lost totally without every last arcane function of his iPhone 3G.

For a working person on the road, you can be responsive to collegues in a timely manner so that things don't pile-up until you get to an Internet connection at (or near) the end of the day. I was thinking that a mini-laptop with cellular connection would be better, and the blackberry keyboard is a pain, but people are most tolerant of quick replies. I think airports should be required to provide free wireless computer connections.

Bicycle content = I don't text while riding.

I just got a Blackberry Storm and tried Google maps -- awesome. Unfortunately Google hasn't yet released a version for the Storm so I have to use one for the Curve. It can't access the GPS so I get a generalized location via cell tower triangulation. Can't wait for a version that works with the GPS. I wish I had this when I was in Spain a few weeks back.

I find blackberries useful. Their constant interruption demonstrates to my managers that their time is being wasted in a meeting with mere mortals. Thus the meeting ends...............

and work begins.

I enjoy the freedom the bberry provides. I can work about anywhere and provide my customers with the service they need. But would readily admit it is not for everyone. My newest one has a much better web interface which I'm just figuring out all the nuances.

I lived on a BB when I was working. The subscription vs value is a bit pricey now that I am retired. But I can't get Internet service down at my weekend house except through Verizon EVDO data service. With the BB I can turn on the PC data connect service for the few days I am down there (prorated against the monthly charge). It is a better deal than the dedicated data card I was using and I get the mobile email and browsing to boot. Plus an MP3 player and GPS maps.

I too enjoy the "tethering" capability with my laptop. I can connect with our office systems while in a log cabin up on a mountain top or even sitting on the beach-as long as I can get about 3 bars of mobile coverage. Any less and the data transfer rate is just too slow. If you need to stay connected anyway, it at least gives you the flexibility to not have to be sitting in an office. In fact folks don't know I'm not sitting in the office unless I'm on the phone and a dog barks, car horn blow, someone yells "fore"..........oops, too many secrets starting to slip out.

However, if the company wasn't paying the monthly subscription I don't think I could justify it just for my own personal uses.

It's easy to see the need for things the company pays for.

I was the company, I use to bike with a send/rec radio, cell phone, PDA, iPod and GPS all mounted on my handle bars because I "Had To", not any more.

I'm retired, you do it!

I have a cell phone for safety and that's that.

Merry Christmas!

I enjoy not being at work when I leave the office. I realize that is not practical for many jobs, but it works for mine and that works for me. I rarely think about my job when I leave the office. That, to me, is worth much more than the increased pay I could get by being more dedicated to my profession.
