I was 6'2" until a MTB crash crushed a vertebrae about 7 years ago. Now at 75 I am 6'1" and still riding 58cm road frames.

Used to be 6'1, now closer to 5'11. What kills me is that my new Dr. just told me that my BMI is on the high side, yet my weight (190) has been the same for 20 years. Same person, just a bit compressed. If this keeps up I'll be morbidly obese in a few years despite maintaining my weight.

I was 5' 8-1/2" at 18, now barely 5' 7" at 60. Shoe size has stayed the same at 7.5EEE with very high arches.

In college playing football I was once measured at 5'11". But, basically I've always been a touch above 5'10". Closer to 5'8" these days. Close to my playing weight. So why does it look so different?

Used to be 6' 4". Many years back I started measuring 6' 3", but it hasn't changed at 61. I suspect it just shifted from my top to my middle!

I went to get a new state ID card and they asked if I was still 5' 9" and 280.

I told them 5' 8" was probably closer and thank god more like 250 (it got to 301 twice before six years ago).

And I looked too good so I assume the Body Snatchers got me.

I forgot to order the school package with the sheet of 1x2s, 4x5s and a couple 8x10 glossies for mom. Darn.

It seems as if a lot of things start sliding down past 60'

5'8"+ and 165 at 18.

5"7"- and 225 at 68.

The hair used to be up on the top, and my chin was shaved,
now, the top does not need to be shaved, all the hair slipped down to the chin.

there was a time I had strong wide shoulders and a narrow middle,
Yes, that too has "slipped" and seen to gather at the middle.

At least I am aware of where the height went. 6 of the lower discs have no more gel inside.

Oh, and even when I was 18 with a 42-inch chest and 27-inch waist I didn't have a 'six-pack'. Now I'm just under 200 and have the whole KEG going on, LOL!

I was 6'2" for many years. Due to a serious MTB crash about 6 years ago with a fractured disc, a microdiskectomy and a multi level fusion 3 years ago, I am now at 6'1".

I suggest growing 4 inches taller would help your BMI.
