I figure tons of people know about this already, but just in case...

https://eighthinch.wordpress.com/2011...uction-3-of-3/

Not a steal, but $300 off a whole bike that tends to get solid reviews ain't bad.

Hey Guys and Girls,

I know you're not suppose to sell items here that specifically belong to you. But I think my situation is an exception.

So awhile back I saw a Surly Steamroller on craigslist for sale. I think his initial price was somewhere around $4** something. He listed it with no pictures or anything.

But I emailed him and offer after finding out the size was a 56cm and it was black and in like new condition.

After many...many negotiations and emails, I was able to get it for $300. Now my initial intentions were to use it as a winter bike, however, I managed to fit 35 wide tires onto my Iro Mark V so I do not really need it anymore.

But I feel bad if I back out of the deal now so I am still going ahead and buying it from him.

So I guess I am here to pass the deal to someone who might also be in the Chicagoland/Illinois region. I am currently in Champaign/Urbana, so if you are willing to pick it up, you can have it for $300. I can show screenshots of email to verify that $300 is indeed the price I paid.

I can also take pictures and upload more info after picking up the bike tomorrow.

PM me or email me at law7@illinois.edu if you are interested.

NEW Sugino Grand Mighty 170mm (no BB) for $225. I know the seller. He's a local guy that I race with.

https://www.dicklanevelodrome.com/top...rack-bars.html

This crankset has been sitting in my workshop forever, waiting for a project that never happened. It was installed and removed, but never used. So, it's as good as new.

$225. I think they retail for >$350.

https://www.businesscycles.com/tcr-sug.htm

Also have:

Nitto B-123 Steel, Chrome. 40cm

Nitto B-125 Steel, Chrome. 39mm

$35 each

Are these worth buying at this price?
So this combo deal came up again except instead of the 2010 Avenir shoes Pricepoint is offering the 2011 Peloton and I pulled the trigger.
The shoes are nice, or at least nice to a guy who has never owned road shoes. The clips.. well.. I sketched out walking down the stairs from the deck to the driveway. Got clipped in okay with one foot, started to slow down as I missed clipping in on 3 revolutions, looked down, started to b&tch myself out for not clipping in, then fell over sideways. These will take some time to get used to.

You'll eventually get it. Try it on your geared bike first, and then practice on fixed gear if you're comfortable.
