Vintage Giant 980C

Hey all, my name's Doug.
I ride (less now than when I bought it) an Antique 1992 Giant Carbon Fiber 980 C roadbike (it's less now than when I bought it because now that I'm 51 and NOT living at home with mommy and daddy, I have other obligations, like work, looking for better work, etc).
I've installed Pedal Power platforms (back when Pedal Power existed), an aero bar w/Flight Controls (took those off though, at my age and with the TBI I sustained back in '85 when I was 21, I'm kinda unstable with my arms in an aero tuck, that, and two rotator cuff surgeries on my right shoulder), and when I took the flight controls off I put the shifters back on the downtube.
Anyway, when I bought the bike back in '92, I paid $835.95 (don't know why that number has stuck in my head for 22 years, but it has) for it and my dad thought I was insane for spending that on just a bicycle when I could go to Sears and get a Free Spirit for $70.00
I originally started riding to build my left leg back up after my fatal accident in '85 (see 3 attached pics):

which is also the same one that gave me the TBI, WAITAMINIT, did I say 'fatal'? I did, because I actually survived the accident itself, but had a BAAAAD reaction to one of the drugs they gave me in the hospital and I died (but H.P. Lovecraft and Herbert West did a bang up job reanimating me (so I'm a corpse with a sick twisted sense of humour).

Just wanted to say HI because I'm new here.
SO.......HI!!!

PS, I'm sorry to have grossed y'all out with these pics in my first post .

Hi, Doug. Welcome back among the living. Enjoy that Giant. Buying the best you can afford is usually the better way to go. Looking forward to future posts from you.
