if you hands are hurting, you are probably putting too much weight on them, tells me you might need an adjustment to where your bars are positioned. Possible a new stem length, flip the stem if it is down to a more upright position. Might want to check with the LBS to see if they can help you there.

im the OP and wanted to say I’m
doing much better with my left hand and it doesn’t feel sleepy like before during my rides.
the main thing I did is make a conscious effort to put my wrist in neutral position so the wrist is not to bent, which puts compression on the median nerve . Also I use the 109 method to get approximate seat height , my seat was wayyy to high before using the heel method .

isn't your FX a flat bar bike? Drop bar bikes take more getting used to. Learn to ride first.
