Any info on this Bianchi Eros?
All that's listed really is that it's got 3x7 Shimano gearing. He said he'd send me more photos tomorrow, but I'd love to know if this is a bike worth buying assuming the photos check out. He's asking for $200 but I'd like to get it for lower obviously.
I have a wonderful 1990 Trek 1420 but I think it's just a smidge too big, so I've been looking for something slightly smaller.

I think I'd end up replacing those mountain bike handlebars with drops

The Eros was mid level machine probably a level above the Sport SX level. We sold lots of them

The bike looks almost identical to my 1993 Bianchi Eros, though mine is dark green and has drop bars.
I've been very happy with it for the last 27 years - used it for commuting, errands and exploring in the hills. I added a rack and panniers and have used it for shopping.
It has a 3x7 Shimano RX100 drivetrain. The frame is "Bianchi SuperSet-2 w Tange seamless double-butted chrome-moly tubing. Super lugs." It weighs about 23 pounds.
"Mid-level" sounds about right. It cost $680 new.
I'd show you a photo of mine, but the system says I need to make 10 posts first.
If it fits you and seems in good shape, $200 would be a good price.

There is nothing wrong with a mid-level Bianchi -- ask the man who owns one.
