Unknown - Moser stickered
I am new here and I bought a Moser stickered bike that has eyelets and signed with a capital M at seat stays.
I would like to know the maker of it. Interesting is the upside down M on one side. I will be happy if this is a non Moser but a known brand especially if the upside down M is a mistake and makes it a very strange one.
I want to use as a daily bike, but if it is only a fake bike I will trade to another one.
If it stays I want to change some parts because it has almost full Shimano Golden Arrow set.
Hopefully here I will find answer about this quiz.

It's a Minerva (a Belgian marque). I've never seen their "M" panto upside down like that, though. That's a little unusual.
More pictures here and here.
Also, are those cracks in the pain of the rear non-drive side dropout? That might be a problem.

I really appreciate your help. It was quick to find the answer for my question.
I will check the cracks.
This case I will keep the bike but take off the Moser stickers.
Happy because of the web design painting is original as I can see on other frame pictures. I was told only Colnago used it.
Unusual upside down M is very rare, that makes me exciting if it is "one and only".

I found this a couple weeks ago at a local flea market. It has all the original equipment, and judging by the grease and condition of the tires, it had been serviced in the past ten years. I went through it, top to bottom and replaced the cables, bar wrap, chain, and put on a set of used Paselas. Yesterday, I took it out for the first time, and did 25 miles. Sun Tour Accu-shift worked perfectly. It easily handled a few miles of rough chip & seal. I plan to replace the saddle and maybe put on a taller stem, but that's about all.
I am really happy with how it turned out. With 27x1 1/8 Pasela tires, it really soaks up the bumps. If I can get my but in shape, I would like to ride a century on it later in the year.

I got a little carried away. I looked at the bike the other day and realized the only original part was the frame. I had always intended to install a Brooks saddle, but the rest just happened. It started with a Shimano Tri Color crank and fd that I thought would look good with the blue and white paint, so I found a rd and they went on. Then I had a pair of wheels with a seven speed hub on my Miyata, so they went on along with some indexed shift levers. The original brakes were squealing and I had a set of Tektro dual pivot calipers, so I used them. Someone on this forum had mentioned a Soma Sutro stem for a little less height than a Technomic, so I got one of those. It is about 1 inch taller than the original stem, which is just right for me. The brake levers are from my son's Club Fuji, when I switched it to STI levers. The handlebars are from the parts bin.
I am really happy with how it turned out. With 27x1 1/8 Pasela tires, it really soaks up the bumps. If I can get my but in shape, I would like to ride a century on it later in the year.

Loving everything in this thread. Here's my peugeot competition model that's hopefully going to fill this slot and take over commuting duty. Going to stick with dt shifters, maybe bar ends in the future. Not in the pic but 28 tires up front and 32s are on the back. Just need to find front and rear racks.

correct. 1979 model. Found it abandoned. Talked to the owner of the property and he said of it was still there in 2 weeks i could have it. Needless to say it never moved. I was going to flip it but really fell in love with the simplicity of it. Put some new wheel on it and ive been logging miles since.

Nice photos and bikes, everyone. With a little experience riding after 29 years not having done so, this type of bike functionally will be the best suited for my needs. I have East Tennessee terrain (and those hillclimbs). And physically challenged almost 55 year old aging legs. For a C&V bike, the sports tourer will be the most functional for my needs. A triple crankset and wide ratio gears are for me, very necessary! Not an option unless riding on the flats. This thread has been beautiful and educational. And the excellent discussion is Bike Forums at it's best. I will be looking for a nice bike in this genre for my second bike when I want C&V. As it's a nice functional fit.
