Fork Options - For a All Road Build - Niner/Rodeo/Fyxation/Enve
This would be for an all road build on a Lynskey Backroad frame. I want to be able to use disc brakes, 40 something mm 700c tires, thru axle. Some mounts would be nice for more flexibility.
Here are my options - I like of like the Rodeo Labs it seems kind of unique but the Fyxation is very nice and the Niner is certainly workable. However, I am not familiar with any of these companies or forks so I would appreciate some thoughts or comments on any or all of these.
Fyxation - Sparta FCR All Road Full Carbon Fork - https://www.fyxation.com/collections...ll-carbon-fork
This looks like it has everything I would want - Full carbon, 160mm rotor, thru axle, internal cable routing (nice plus), tri-hole water bottle mounts, tapered steer. 700x45mm max. Not sure I love the Thru Axle lug being held in by a set screw type of thing. I wonder if that would work loose.
$420
Rodeo Labs - Spork 1.2//Dynamo Revision Fork - Rodeo Spork Bicycle Fork. A carbon fiber adventure bike fork.Rodeo Adventure Labs, LLC
This also looks like it has everything I would want - Full carbon, 160mm rotor, thru axle, rack mounts, tapered steer and dynamo capability. 700x42mm max
$445
Niner - Gravel RDO Thru Axle Fork w/ Rack Mount - NINER RDO GRAVEL FORK
This also looks like it has everything I would want - Full carbon, 160mm rotor, thru axle, tapered steer, rack mounts. 700x45mm max
Post Mount is $399 - Which would work well since I am using MTB brakes but I wonder if post mount is going away and replacement might be an issue 5 years from now. But there are a lot of post mount bike out there so there may be post mount brakes around for a long time. This looks like a steal price wise.
Flat Mount - $550 (a bit rich it seems compared to the other three)
Enve - Cross Disc Fork - https://enve.com/products/cross-fork-disc/
Close but no rack mounts and a bit rich at $542
Any thoughts on these would be very much appreciated.
