Tikit - Stem Latch to Mainframe, Male Part replacement

Hello,
I've just got a tikit but unfortunatly miss the stem latch to mainframe (male part).
It's not easy get the replacement piece because of I'm in Europe.
Could you tell me the size of this piece, i would like to look for something similar.

To clarify what i'm looking for you can search on google "tikit Stem Latch to Mainframe, Male Part - Top Hat" (sorry but I'm not allowed to write any external links)

Thank you for your support!

Call or email Bike Friday they are the only place you will get one from. They are a custom built bike (including the Tikit) and if you give them the frame number they will know exactly what is need for your Bike Friday. Roger

Otay, Spanky, Bike Friday sells them:

I dug around in my shop and found a replacement of the correct thread size. These are called 'binding bolts' or 'connector bolts' and I used the barrel end of one. Works fine. They should be available at a good hardware or woodworking store.

Thank you very much for the useful information!
But doesn't the METAL connector bolt scratch the mainframe?

The PLASTIC one had scuffed the paint up over the years before it went missing. I guess if you're concerned about it you could put a piece of helicopter tape on that part of the frame.

Hello,
may I ask where in Europe you're located?
If the original thingy was made of plastic - wouldn't it be possible to replace it with a 3D printed part?
(Possibly reinforced with a brass insert.)

I learned along time ago that plastic "latch" will rip right thru the big TIKIT decal and the mast arm stem must be folded with attention.
Bike Friday used to sell the TIKIIT decal, I assumed for that reason.

On a Brompton I had there was a large scratch on the main tube from stepping thru. I hid the scratch and protected the frame by putting a peice of leather over it.
(cut the leather a little short and wet it , stich it tight and dries to a nice snug fit.)

This thread has inspired me to do the same with my Tikit.
