AC apX Wheel

I reciently bought an older, probably 2002 Gary Fisher Tassajara to rebuild.
During the tear down phase I found the front wheel had been replaced with an AC apX wheel hub. The wheel seems "beefy" enough and has sealed bearings I believe.
I'm not farmoiliar with this brand of hub, and not sure if it is a keeper or if I should be looking for somethoing more substantial. I've not been able to find much information on tis wheel and hub.
The bike will get some pretty rough treatment when finished.
Any information will be appreciated.

If it breaks the replace with a newer wheel. It may lat longer than the bike and you will have worried for no reason. Roger

Do you mean "American Classic" as the hub brand? If so they have a pretty god rep for quality.

Front wheels see far less stresses and are usually stronger the rear wheels. What about the current one is concerning you and/or what aspect do you think needs more "substance"? Andy

I've not heard of this particular wheel before. I don't know if it will hold up under the stress of normal off road riding. I really don't have any concerns about the wheel, I was just trying to determine the quality.
I was in the process of packing wheel bearings and truing wheels to mount new tires. If the wheel is trash I don't want to waste my time on it.

AC is Adventure Components, mostly made very oddball BMX mini and DH mountain parts. I had a terrible set of black chrome Profile knock off steel three piece cranks made by them. AC stuff sometimes sells for decent ebay money if it's in good shape.

Thanks for the info.
I believe I'm going to true it up, (it's not that far out), mount my tires and use it, at least for awhile. If I find a better alternative down the road I'll jump on ti if need be,
