Too good to be true price for jerseys?
Hello everyone, looking into getting a 1st jersey, and have spent lots of time reading and searching around. Found seller on eBay that has what he claims to be 100% original Castelli for lot cheaper than what I saw from other stores. His Castelli jerseys are from $50-$80. Store is called Cycling Love, located and shipping out of US and has 100% feedback, with lots of sales, including jerseys. Do these look legit, and if they are why do you think he is selling them for low prices like he is? Here are 2 examples, with many more in his store.

There has been a total of one thread I’ve seen where the answer was “that’s legit”.

Looks like it is from several years ago so possible someone could have bought a bunch of old stock from Castelli or a distributor or retailer for cheap. I would think that if someone was doing a knock-off, they would do it on something more current but you never know.

I have seen these too (not your seller) but even cheaper coming from China. Not sure where the big C is made but if not China then could be the infamous Chinese plagerism as I say!

Looks legit. Prices are good, but not too good - they seem comparable to other sellers that discount merchandise from previous seasons. The number of positive reviews on Castelli stuff is a good sign as well.
I suspect that the seller is one of those people who gets a bunch of overstock/discontinued merchandise for cheap then sells it for way below MSRP.

There are tons of cheap jerseys and stuff on Wish dot com. I was tempted to grab a couple then changed my mind. Wonder if they are original or knock offs.

Being a newbie, I have a newbie question. In general when it comes to jerseys, is there noticeable difference between current year's model and few year old model? Comparing apples to apples, so same model of jersey, just few years old. I would guess not, but not sure clearly. Thanks

Probably legit. I've found some good deals on new-old-stock Castelli jerseys and shorts. As long as the prices aren't too stupid and the shipping is from a U.S address, you're probably getting the genuine article

Most of my Castelli bibs were ~ 70$US and jerseys around 60$US. Mostly last season stuff.

In my opinion, it's soo expensive for a hobby. For the price of this one jersey, you can get the entire bib and jersey kit for half the price from eBay and Aliexpress coming from China, with 20-30 day shipping. I personally like what the pros wear which you can get plentiful from China. In terms of quality, the clothing normally lasts me about 3-4 seasons until they start breaking from multiple uses. I usually get the aero kits, so they are really fit and tight, and eventually will start breaking from the seams from putting them on and taking it off, especially when you gain weight over the winter months. This is from cycling about 4 to 7 days a week depending on the weather, in group rides, and also commuting to work (wearing my jersey kits) in the spring, summer, and early fall.

I have 3 Castelli jerseys bought this year. The most expensive one is made in Italy, the second one is made in Bosny and the cheapest one is from Hungary. None from China or Asia.
