IRO group buy - last one done with build?
I finished my IRO group buy build Monday morning in time to ride it to work. I gotta be the last one to finish. I'm talking about the original group buy in which we all got our frames about a year ago. Anybody willing to admit to not being done yet? Or did I come in dead last?
It's a Frankenbike with assorted parts I picked up off of bike store clearance tables over the past year. Pretty standard stuff except for the high bling carbon fork and On-one Mungo (mustache) bars. A lot of the parts are "take-offs" the LBS had left over after upgrading somebody's bike.

Still not done yet. I'm having a hard time deciding what handlebars to get. I am also dragging my feet on facing my bottom bracket and getting a chainring. To top it off, I just got a frame for a SS project which could further suck time and $$ from the IRO project.

he has extra group buys sitting around?? or is he going to repair it. i figured once they are gone they are gone, so if he's replacing it, it would be with a mark V or something?

yeah, that's what i was thinking. i would have been fine with a mark v, but they said he had a 59cm matte group buy (a size up, my 56 ran small anyway) to replace my existing frame with and i was STOKED.

I bought some parts for mine this week. I think I'll probably get it together in the next month or so.

Six years later, blew the dust off it and built it up. Doesn't look anything like I originally intended.

Finally, a necropost with a good reason. That IRO's obviously been put through its runs.

@himespau: Miche Supertype, bought years ago when it was on sale someplace I've long since forgotten.

Here's mine from the 2nd IRO group buy, based on the Rob Roy frame. This bike has taken many forms, but now mostly just sits in my basement permanently configured for offroad riding. I take it out a couple times a year.

I'd ride the wheels off that. What size is it?

Its a 62 according to the iro geometry chart, but those the way rob roys are sized made no sense. I normally ride a 58 and thats how it fits.
