Finally got me a got me a user name user name
I’ve been creeping on posts for years without logging in but I’m finally putting together an old Univega ramen with modern(ish) components and I needed to bite the bullet so I could see all the pics.
Im an everyday commuter in Boston and a dad who’s trying to get his wife and his 10 and 8 year old sons to catch the bike bug.
Hi y’all

BCV Boston College? The "V"?
I grew up in Milton, "commuted "a year by bike to visit a girl friend whose parents had the nerve to move to Newton. Also commuter to near Fenway Park from Milton. Lived my racing days in Central Square. A lot of memories. Stil go back regularly but not to ride.

Not BC
BCV is my initials. I’m in Quincy and I ride to Cambridge every day.

welcome & good luck with the family. check out the Recreational & Family subforum when my kids were still young my Wife insisted on a lot of stuff & I agreed to everything. two of the kid related items that I'd mention here are 1) team sports & 2) bicycles. they both posed challenges & expenses but by far well worth every minute & penny. some advice even tho you didn't ask for it buy used, as a parent, you already know about patience ...
