@Slightspeed, my favorite saddle has been the B17. A couple of years ago, I got a C17. It doesn't feel the same, but I do like it equally well. And I can leave it out in the rain, so that's nice.

Counter example. I love Brooks B17s, Pros and Ideale 90s (Rebour or sans). I didn't really like the Cambium C17 when I tied it. Might have to give it another trial.

A fellow C&V member saw the thread on my Eisentraut build & noticed that the bike needed fenders. He graciously offered me a fair deal on a pair of Honjos. Originally slated for delivery yesterday, they showed up a day late today. Coincidentally on my birthday, so maybe actually right on time!
Anyhow, life is good today with C&V mail & suddenly the upcoming rainy season doesn’t look so bad.

The Honjos are in need of some mounting hardware as the rear brake bride bracket is too shallow for the application, and the chainstay bridge bracket is missing. So it’s off to the co-op in a bit to see what I can scrounge up. Otherwise I’ll fab the pieces from metal stock which I can find at the hobby shop. They’re gonna look great, and won’t add any noticeable weight to the build. Sweet fenders! “Beat up” just enough to match the bike perfectly

I haven't had good luck with low spoke count wheels, and I'm only 170 lbs.

A 1956 Sturmey-Archer three-speed AW hub. I'm picking up a 1956 Raleigh Sports step-through to rebuild for my girlfriend, and the bike is an early SW three-speed model (SW hubs were a clever design prone to issues due to manufacturing constraints). I'm very curious about that hub, and I'm going to rebuild it based on Sheldon's instructions for making an SW reliable. However, I wanted a backup just in case. I'll service and build the '56 AW into the rear wheel instead if necessary. If the SW works out perfectly, I'll have a hub from the high quality point for Sturmey-Archer to use on a future bike, or for replacement parts for my AG hub installed in my own Raleigh.

A weight weenie part.......but not for my bikes....
It's an aluminum jack and hand crank for a 97 Mazda RX-7.
My 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata, like many new cars did not come with a jack of even a spare wheel to minimize weight and raise MPG.
Jack weighs only 3 pounds. The standard jack from Mazda weighs at least double that.
A lot of new Miata owners add these lightweight jack to their new cars because on of the car's main design feature, is it's very light curb weight and they do not want to add too much with a heavy jack.
