Garmin Connect App and Cannondale Sensor won't sync

Phone OS: IOS 11
Apple X

Title explains it for the most part. I got it to sync once and then it said it was going to flash the firmware and to wait 10 minutes. Waited 15-20, went back to the phone and the app said the firmware update failed. Device now no longer sync's with the app.

That being said, it works fine with the Cannondale App still. I've done all the steps on their site about resetting bluetooth, rebooting the phone. I've also, uninstalled the app, forgot the bluetooth device in the blue tooth settings.

Any thoughts on this by anyone? I searched the forums and saw no signs of issues, just praie for the coolness of the device being included. I agree and I've loved it so far.

If no one has encountered this are there Cannondale or Garmin folks who participate in the forum?

Any help is appreciated. THANKS!

What kind of sensor?

Are you trying to pair it to your Garmin hardware directly, or to the app? It should be the former.

I'm not aware that the Garmin Connect Mobile app connects to anything except a Garmin device. The C-Dale sensor should connect to the Garmin device (Edge computer ?) but I don't think the CM app is involved in that.

The sensor is a sensor that came with the Cannondale Topstone. It's a wheel sensor that was a joint development project between Garmin and Cannondale. If you browse "All Devices" in the app, it's listed under Cannondale.

Is the sensor blinking when you spin the wheel?

Good to know, as I'll mention to a friend who recently purchased a Topstone and uses an Explore

I don't see any sort of light on the sensor. It syncs with the cannondale app just fine. Stinks as I don't really need a head unit with my phone but perhaps I'll just break down and get a Garmin head unit of sort to use the sensor with on my bike.
